My name is Jeremy Baron. I graduated from the massage therapy program at Grant MacEwan University in 2006, then joined the Massage Therapy Association of Alberta (MTAA) and have been practicing since then.
I have worked with many injuries and conditions over my career. I regularly work with athletes, pregnancy, chronic pain, various muscle sprain and strains, carpel tunnel, relaxation and many others. I also accept and work with motor vehicle accident claims. My main focus is on therapeutic and deep tissue massage. I treat many different people from all ethnicities, cultural back rounds and walks of life from ages 6 to 98. One of my beliefs is that a physical problem more often then not, can be treated effectively with a physical solution. Where a chemical problem, often needs a chemical solution.
My approach to therapeutic and deep tissue massage is that deep tissue does not mean just using more force. It means using enough force to be able to sink into the deeper levels of the tissues with out having the muscles tensing and fighting against me. You have to read the body and tissues and listen to what they are telling you, so that you can make adjustments and get to the deeper levels. So deep tissue pressure is different for everyone based on what their tissues will accept. These types of treatments generally feel like you had a hard work out at the gym, but help you achieve the results you want.
I work at 2 different locations and take my first client at 9am and my last client at 6pm (Monday to Friday/ Saturday 9am to 12pm). My main location is a home based clinic that I have been operating since 2009. My secondary location is a chiropractic office that I have worked at since 2010.
